Lava and Blended Drip Glaze Art Pottery Bowl Unidentified Maker Unknown
A nice volcanic lava glaze art pottery bowl. It is
marked on the bottom with a flourished, incised
or impressed signature, but the glaze is so thick it's
obscured to the point of illegibility.
Approx. 9.5" wide by 3.5" ht.
Weighs 2 lbs.
The pottery is thin, but it has a lot of weight.
The pot weighs 2 lbs. It has a nice bell-like ring,
like porcelain when I tap it with my finger nails.
There is no way I can tell what color the clay is,
it's completely covered with glaze. The four stilt
marks on the bottom are the size of pin holes.
The glaze is so thick, I can't tell if this is hand
thrown or made in a mold.
