White Lion Figurine with Killed Slain Lamb or Ewe Porcelain Bisque Parian

Antique Parian Porcelain Bisque Fairing
Lion Standing over Killed Ewe or Lamb
Victorian Era Figurine                                                                                              
4" tall by 5" wide. Hard, vitrified porcelain bisque or stoneware. Remnants of a translucent amber colored paint or lacquer with gold sparkles.

No maker's marks or numbers on the bottom or anywhere on the back or around the base.

The base is made to look like a stacked stone wall or fence.

The trimmed and smoothed mold marks are visible from the base, up the lions leg, over the top of its back, and through the mane to the ear.

Origin unknown. Probably German porcelain.

Orange and blue glaze. Green rhinestones jewel eyes.
Cork covered bottom with Code number 5555 ink stamped
on the cork bottom. A red and gold Lefton sticker/label that
reads "Lefton, Trade Mark Exclusives, Japan"
Approx. 4.5" long and 3.5" tall.
This hippo appeared in Lefton dealer catalogs from 1968 thru 1970.

Mexican Majolica Figural Howling Coyote Pitcher Oaxaca DripWare 12.5 Inches 3 Quarts

Huge Figural Pottery Pitcher - Howling Canine-Dog-Coyote-Wolf.
Blended Glaze - Oaxaca Dripware - Mexican Majolica
Vintage Mexican Pottery - Oaxaca Drip Ware Animal Pitcher

Carved eyes, hand incised into the clay. Rope texture handle. Flowing textured fur. Tail wrapped around hindquarters at base of pitcher. Floppy ears hanging down. Detail of toes on front paws.

Blended drip glaze, various shades of blue, green, yellow, orange and brown. The inside is glazed pale mint green. The bottom of the pitcher was belt sanded to even out the thick drips of glaze to make it sit flat and level.

12 1/2 inches tall. Capacity just shy of 3 quarts.
