Andy Gump and Min Figural Porcelain Bisque Toothbrush Holder or Planter Cold Painted
5-1/8th inches tall measuring to top of Andy Gump's hat.
2-3/8th's inches wide measuring across back of planter box.
The back of the piece is marked:
Andy & Min, copyright F.A.S.
(Famous Artists Syndicate), S2.
The bottom is marked as shown in the two pictures above.
Painted in gold, it reads: SATUR??? SATURDAY ? SATUBYN ?
SATURBYN ? 18391 ? 1839comma ? 183gcomma ? It also looks
like there were two lines of text written in script with the gold paint,
down below the first mark, but all I can make out is the capital
letter A, the rest is smeared and just a trace can be seen. Click the
pictures to enlarge and see if you can decipher.
